Private ยท One to one

Private sound healing sessions

A private session is time held entirely for you: conversation, live sound and quiet, shaped around whatever you arrive with that day.

It begins with a proper consultation. Gem listens to what is present for you, then composes the session in response: bowls placed around the body, chimes, drum and long passages of resonant sound, closing with unhurried time to rest and return.

Who it suits

You do not need a reason to rest

Clients arrive from every direction: some with something specific to set down, others simply curious. All are welcome.

  • People in demanding seasons of work or life who need genuine switch-off time
  • Anyone whose mind stays busy long after the day has ended
  • Those marking a change: an ending, a beginning, a decision
  • Creatives and performers looking for space away from noise
  • People who find seated meditation difficult and want another door into stillness
  • Complete beginners. Most first-timers are surprised by how natural it feels.

The shape of a session

From arrival to integration

Consultation

Time to talk, unhurried. What brings you, how you have been sleeping and feeling, anything Gem should know. If you wish, you set a quiet intention for the session.

Settling

You lie down fully clothed, wrapped warm with blankets and cushions. A few slow breaths, gently guided, help the body arrive.

The sound

Gem plays around and, where welcome, on the body: crystal and Tibetan bowls, chimes and drum in slowly shifting layers. There is nothing to follow and nothing to do.

Rest and return

The sound closes softly into silence. Quiet minutes to come back, water, and space to share anything you noticed, only if you want to.

Afterwards

What clients often describe

Everyone meets sound in their own way, and no particular outcome is promised. That said, clients most often describe feeling calmer, lighter and clearer after a session, as though they have had a very deep rest.

Some feel pleasantly drowsy for a while. Gem suggests keeping the hour after your session unhurried where you can: water, a gentle walk, no rushing back into noise.

Preparing

Before you come

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You stay fully clothed throughout.
  • Avoid a heavy meal in the hour or two beforehand, and arrive reasonably hydrated.
  • Give yourself a few unhurried minutes to arrive rather than rushing in.
  • Nothing else is needed. Mats, blankets and everything for the session are provided.

Health considerations

A note on wellbeing

Sound healing is a complementary wellbeing practice. It is not a medical treatment and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or care.

Please mention any health conditions when you enquire, in particular heart conditions, epilepsy or pregnancy, so Gem can confirm the session is appropriate for you and adapt it where needed.
